Kamienica Ślebarskich Oświęcim

Ślebarski Family House, Oświęcim

Ładny duży budynek przy placu. Z przodu kwietniki.

Rynek Główny 14, 32-600 Oświęcim Tourist region: Oświęcim i okolice

A spacious one-floor house erected in the 19th century. It was built by Rev. Michał Ślebarski, who was the head priest of the Parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary at that time.
The house is a one-floor brick building with stylish neoclassicist features. During World War II, the Germans slightly altered the appearance of the building, adapting it to a new function: the seat of their city authorities. On that occasion, they added a turret on the roof and rebuilt the interiors. After the war, the house was occupied, among others, by the Polish United Worker’s Party; today it is the seat of the District Court.
