The 53rd Edition of the Jan Kiepura Festival came to an end
During the festival, from 10 to 17 August, Krynica hosted over thirty concerts of all kinds: from opera and operetta galas to open-air performances and recitals. Most of them resounded in the beautiful open-air resort scenery, while the evening concerts took place in the Main Pump Room.

The new artistic director Tadeusz Pszonka arranged the concert program so that it would fill almost the whole day: before noon "Meeting with the star", at noon "Promenade concert", in the early afternoon the show "Young stage", and at the end of the day the "Evening concert".

Music lovers had the opportunity to admire the mastery of famous Polish opera and operetta artists: Grażyna Brodzińska, Izabela Kłosińska, Teresa Żylis-Gara, Ewa Vesin, Edyta Piasecka, Andrzej Lampert, Adam Sobierajski, Marcelina Beucher, Stanisława Celińska, Paweł Skałuba and Adam Kuszewski. They were accompanied by talented young singers. Foreign artists from Russia, Argentina, France, Belgium, China, Korea, Moldova, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Italy also performed, including Alexander Anisimow, Giuseppe Gimelli, Gilberto Pereyra, Vincent Guerin and Thibault Momper. The Łódź Grand Theater presented Flittermouse by Johann Strauss, the Kraków Chamber Opera presented opera buffa Pimpinone by Georg Philipp Telemann, while the students of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz presented the opera Verbum nobile by Stanisław Moniuszko . The final concert was reserved for tenors.
