1) Historic urban and spa buildings

Urban and spa buildings include numerous villas, guest houses and sanatorium objects (turn of the 19th and 20th centuries). The best-known are: wooden “Witoldówka” and “Tatrzańska” in the Swiss style from 1888, Renaissance-classicist “Lwigród” from 1928 and modernist “Patria” from 1934 built for Jan Kiepura.

2) The European Festival of Jan Kiepura

The European Festival of Jan Kiepura has a long history. It was organized for the first time in 1967, and apart from the performers the most important person who was then greeted with great enthusiasm, was the widow of Jan Kiepura, Marta Eggerth.

3) Nikifor Krynicki Monument

A visit to Krynica is an opportunity to get to know the works of Nikifor (1895 - 1968). Epifaniusz Drowniak, as this was his real name officially established as late as in 2003, was a brilliant self-taught artist, counted among the world's leading primitivism painters. For most of his life, he lived alone and in poverty, considered to be a mentally handicapped person (he had a hearing and speech defect). He usually created his works on random scraps of paper, such as official prints, wrappers and school notebooks. Most of his works are watercolours, although at the end of his life he also used coloured pencils. He painted mainly in the open air. He was frequently met on the promenade in Krynica.

4) The Old Spa House

The Old Spa House was built in 1889 according to the design of Julian Niedzielski and Jan Zawiejski. It is located in the place of the “Pod Barankiem” villa, which housed social gatherings and theatre performances and concerts. In the Old Spa House you can admire stylish interiors, the most beautiful of which is a Ballroom. In the northern wing of the building, there is a pump room with “Mieczysław” mineral water.

5) Funicular “Góra Parkowa”

The funicular was built in 1937, on the same conditions as the Gubałówka funicular. The bottom station is located at an altitude of 584 m, the upper one at 732 m above sea level.

6) Parkowa Mountain
Time of arrival: 10 min, Sightseeing time: 30 min

Parkowa Mountain is surrounded by a beautiful Spa Park interwoven with numerous hiking paths. In addition, from the top of the mountain there is an unprecedented view of the surrounding areas.

7) End - return to the car park
